We all want world-class facilities in our public places in India. It is great to see our Government taking definitive steps in this direction and providing citizens with facilities that will help put India at par with any developed country.

For the first time in India we are installing an AED device at Vadodara railway station to benefit the general public.

The AED is commonly placed in most public places worldwide like Airports, railway stations, museums, parks etc. In India, this life saving device is still not as prevalent in common places as it should be.

Dr.Parul Banker and Dr.Darshan Banker observed that this facility is available at the airport but is still not available for the masses. They decided to donate the device and have it installed at a place where maximum people will be benefitted from it.

Commonly called as a ‘defibrillator’, this device is used during the important phase of resuscitation and basic life support when someone is suffering from a heart attack. It sends appropriate electric currents to ‘jolt’ the heart and make it function as close to normal until the person can reach the hospital. The device has helped save many lives and is mandatory in many countries to benefit the general public.

At Bankers Group of Hospitals, we believe in giving back to the society to help improve the overall health of our nation’s citizens. By installing an AED machine at Vadodara Railway station, we hope to be one step closer to our vision. All railway employees will be provided with training on using the device in an emergency situation. We will also be educating the general public with a constant slide show and video at platforms on the railway station so they can help save someone’s life when there is a need. Smt. Ranjanben Bhatt,-Member of Parliament-Vadodara and Shri Bharat Dangar,Mayor –Vadodara inaugurated the installation of the AED facility today,16th August’2017 at the Vadodara Railway Station.

We are happy that Bankers Cardiology Pvt Ltd will be the only organization to install such a device at a railway station and that Vadodara will be the FIRST in India to have this facility available.
