In today''s information age where the information that a patient has (or does not have) is key to an organization''s success, hospitals need to collect and process information effectively from the patient to serve them better. The lecture, conducted by Dr Parul Banker, addressed participants of our series of lectures on Quality Healthcare. This beginning to the accreditation process has requirements pertaining to the display of organizations'' services, staff orientation, admission & discharge process definition along with their flowchart, resource optimization, resource allocation, alternative arrangements etc. This chapter also focussed on the optimization of resources and the appropriate matching of patient requirements to the resources for better patient care and management. A great start to the journey for our participants!
