Bankers Group of Hospitals donates medical equipment to SSG Hospital’s Neurology Department for betterment of patients’ health


On Monday, 13th February 2023, Bankers Group of Hospitals donated two advanced medical equipments to SSG Hospital’s Neurology department to support their efforts at providing quality healthcare to underprivileged patients. The 2 diagnostic machines, are


• 32 channel computerized digital EEG MACHINE –


• A portable cum stationary EMG/NCV/EP Machine .-WINDOW BASED COMPUTERIZED DUAL CHANNEL SYSTEM


The SSG hospital held an inauguration ceremony today, by Dr.Darshan & Dr.Parul Banker, Dr Rajan Iyer, Dr.Minal Shastri, Dr Rupal Doshi, Dr Suvorit Bhowmick . Superintendent Dr.Ranjan Iyer expressed his heartfelt thanks to Bankers for this noble gesture which will go a long way in providing Neurology treatment to the patients.


EEG Machine,can be used to help diagnose and monitor a number of conditions affecting the brain. It may help identify the cause of certain symptoms – such as seizures (fits) or memory problems – or find out more about a condition you've already been diagnosed with.


The EMG/NCV/EP System: Electromyography (EMG) is a diagnostic procedure to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them (motor neurons). EMG results can reveal nerve dysfunction, muscle dysfunction or problems with nerve-to-muscle signal transmission.


Both the machines will help doctors with more accurate diagnosis, faster conclusions, reduced paperwork and better storage of data. Dr Parul Banker, Medical Director of Bankers Group of Hospitals, shared, “SSG Hospital is our Alma Mater and the work they do for patients who are financially weaker is tremendous.Their service to the society is immeasurable as it is the largest referral hospital in Central Gujarat. It renders treatment - practically free of cost - to the underprivileged sections of the society and the common man. Doctors at SSG Hospital often go beyond their duty to serve the patients. We wish to help the team at SSG, & this is our humble gesture, also have previously donated an integrated LIS software to SSG hospital, which was successfully installed & which unified various departments of SSG Hospital for easy pathology report availability and prompt action in the patient’s treatment. We hope that our donation of the EEG Machine and EMG Machine can help doctors make quick decisions and help reduce the treatment time for patients.”
